Real Madrid 4, Valencia 0: More Like Real *Boring*
Okay, so Real Madrid thumped Valencia 4-0. Big freakin' deal. I'm supposed to be impressed? Mbappé scored twice, Bellingham kept being Bellingham, and some dude named Álvaro Carreras even got in on the action. 74,796 people showed up to watch. Yawn.
What am I, a Real Madrid PR bot? They won their fourth straight in La Liga, tenth in eleven matches, and opened up a seven-point lead. So what? It's November. Let's see where they are in May, shall we? This is soccer, not a sprint.
Vinicius Jr.: Still Whining?
The real story, as always, seems to be off the pitch. Apparently, Vinicius Jr. had a penalty saved. Oh no! The world is ending! This is after he "expressed displeasure" at being subbed during El Clasico last week. Give me a break.
Is he still apologizing to fans? Six days ago, he was apparently groveling. I'm not sure what that was all about, but I'm sure it was a bunch of overblown nonsense.
I mean, seriously, are we supposed to care about this guy's feelings? He gets paid millions to kick a ball. Toughen up, buttercup.
And what's with the "Vinicius tension grows" headline from last week? Tension? Please. This is soccer, not a Shakespearean tragedy.
Speaking of inflated egos, Bellingham got an 8.81 rating from BBC Sport users. Good for him. He's probably insufferable.
The Champions League Hype Train
So, next up is Liverpool at Anfield. Tuesday, November 4th. Champions League. The hype machine is already in overdrive.

I'm sure we'll hear all about how Anfield is a "special place" and how Liverpool is a "historic club." Blah, blah, blah. It's just another game, folks.
And then it's Rayo Vallecano. More La Liga action. More opportunities for Real Madrid to pad their stats and bore us all to tears.
Valencia? They get to host Real Betis. Sounds thrilling.
I mean, look, I get it. Real Madrid is good. They have a lot of money and a lot of talent. They're supposed to win these games. But where's the drama? Where's the excitement? Where's the...dare I say it...the soul?
It's like watching a perfectly engineered machine churn out predictable results. Efficient, yes. Inspiring? Not so much.
Then again, maybe I'm just being cynical. Maybe I'm just jaded. Maybe I'm just tired of the endless hype and the manufactured drama.
Offcourse, it could be worse. I could be a Valencia fan.
